  • Alan J. Wilzig

    Alan was born in Clifton, New Jersey on April 20, 1965, the third child of Naomi and Siggi Wilzig. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in June of 1987 he immediately joined Trustcompany Bank and served in a variety of executive capacities, culminating in serving as President (2000) and CEO (2002) and being elected Chairman in 2003. In May of 2004, Alan engineered the merger between Trustcompany Bank and North Fork Bank, one of the most successful financial institutions in the United States. He served on North Fork Bank’s Board until 2006. North Fork was sold to Capital One Financial in 2007. Alan is very active in civic and philanthropic activities. Currently, he serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Trustees of LibertyHealth; he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rainforest Alliance, JCP – Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan, Gear Up Foundation and The Centurion Foundation. He is a first-round investor in www.Brammo.com and serves as advisor to many powersports and racing ventures. When he is not tending to family and investments, Alan participates actively in various forms of motorsport, and will be competing for the 2011 Cooper Tires IMSA Lites Championship (www.wilzigracing.com). Alan , his wife Karin and their two small children reside in lower Manhattan.

    John Young , appointed to SRI International’s Board in 2009, he brings almost 20 years of senior level broad range of legislative and executive branch experience working defense research, on defense technology, development, and procurement programs. John’s education and industry experience as an aerospace engineer as well as his service on Capitol Hill and in the Pentagon provide a very unique set of skills and experiences on managing complex development and procurement programs.

    In April, 2009, JohnYoung recently completed service as the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, overseeing over $200 billion of DoD research, development, procurement, and logistics programs. John He previously served for two years as the Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E), leading the unprecedented Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicle program. John was the , and as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition for five years, completing unprecedented deals such as the swap of DDG-51 and LPD-17 work between shipyards..

    John Young is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. During his Pentagon tenure, John he was awarded the DoD, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Army Distinguished Civilian Service Awards, as well as the Department of the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award. John Young has a Master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

    John is currently the Vice President for Business Development at E6 Partners, LLC, a firm founded by former Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England. He also advises clients through his own company, JY Strategies, LLC.

    His latest brainchild merges elements from various vehicle designs, resulting in the DTV Shredder, an all-terrain extreme-sports type of recreational vehicle that’s ridden like a skateboard.

Ryan’s passion for extreme and power sports have enabled him to experiment with ideas for off roading. Ryan is a Motocross rider, skateboarder and snowboarder. Ryan also developed the necessary mechanical skills to fix just about anything. A true Gearhead at heart, Ryan supplemented his natural curiosity with a formal Machinist degree and is an accomplished CNC programmer.

    One of the biggest compliments you can pay John Risley is to tell him he runs his business “differently” than others in the fresh seafood industry. After originally founding Clearwater Fine Foods Inc. as a fish store in Nova Scotia, he quickly realized that any future growth would mean operating in non-traditional markets. By surrounding himself with many of the best employees in the business, Mr. Risley has seen the company grow both domestically and internationally. Sales and marketing functions are now decentralized, with offices in China, Los Angeles, Orlando, Toronto, and England. The company also maintains eight plants in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, as well as a fleet of 30 offshore fishing vessels. In the face of increasing international competition and dwindling natural resources, Mr. Risley is safeguarding the future of the company by investing heavily in research and development, new information technology systems, and attracting and retaining the best people.

    Rich founded Yerf-Dog go karts. In 1998 Yerf-Dog was sold to Cerberus when it had 45% domestic market share and $68 million in revenue. In 2004, Rich started Baja grew the company to 72 million in revenue by 2007. Rich’s primary focus has been on mass merchants and non traditional retailers of power sports. Rich is now bringing his expertise and experience in both manufacturing and distribution to BPG Werks to help commercialize the DTV Shredder.

    Rob comes from the music industry. A musician at heart, he spent the majority of his high school and college years traveling and performing with multiple bands. After several years of successful networking on the road, he began managing relations for other artists. His roster included musicians from some of today’s top acts such as Snoop Doggy Dogg, Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, Justin Bieber and many more. Today, Rob’s management experience is an important gear in BPG’s daily operation and his unorthodox background offers another fresh perspective to the company’s entrepreneurial vision.

  • Steve Micacchi

    Mechanical Engineer

    Steve is a mechanical Engineer with a passion for power sports. He is a graduate of mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo and is bringing innovation, design, and analytical skills to BPG Werks. After earning his engineering degree, Steve toured North America for four months on his motorcycle, fuelling his passion for power sports. Steve has an extensive background in prototype engineering. His experience includes designing handheld medical devices and the track system for a 500 HP forestry machine.

  • Antoine Damery

    Lead Designer

    Antoine Damery is a multi disciplinary designer developing vehicle concepts and styling solution for BPG. He developed the latest design for the commercial version of the Shredder in close collaboration with the engineering team. With more than 10 years of design experience with Peugeot and Citroen and Peddle Thorp Group, Antoine has worked internationally and developed numerous design products and concepts ranging from Industrial design, Transportation design, Architecture, Graphic and Art. His global creative vision and collaborative approach enables him to express concepts and design solutions at micro and macro scales. By translating ideas, forms and innovations across industries, his design talks about user interaction and perception, technology transfer and integration. His aim for the future is to span disconnected creative industries in order to create breakthrough design solutions, vehicles and products.

  • Matt Carlsson

    Mechanical Engineer

    Matt is a mechanical engineer with five years experience in the automotive industry, and a licensed Professional Engineer. He has a broad base of manufacturing engineering experience, most recently working on the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and Camaro programs. Closer to the heart of BPG is his project from his final year at the University of Ottawa where Matt designed an ATV which could be converted into a snowmobile. Matt has been an avid snowboarder and scuba diver for over 15 years and also enjoys travelling the world in his time off and is planning to get his pilot’s licence to compliment that pastime.

  • Ethan MA

    Industrial Designer

    Ethan is an industrial designer with 9 years of experience, including 4 years in automotive industry, 3 years in graphic design, and 2 years in product design. He has solid mass production knowledge and strong design experience. He had won several international design awards including the iF Product Design Award, Golden Pin Design Award, and Asia Vehicle Design Award. Moreover, Ethan, a black belt Karate instructor, has been practicing Karate for 8 years. Ethan enjoys surfing, mountain biking, and camping. He has even accomplished cycling around Taiwan (1100 km) in 6 days in 2010. Ethan is bringing his manufacturing and design experience to BPG Werks

  • Danaan Metge

    Mechanical Engineer

    Danaan has experience with electromechanical control systems and development of experimental computer applications. He previously held a position as a mechanical engineer at Bechtel Power corporation, working as part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers to design and build commercial power plants while pursuing ambitious budget and schedule goals.

    He is an avid tinkerer, and maintains his own motorcycle, which he uses both to commute to work each day and to search for adventure far from home.

  • Andrew Jepson

    Andrew Jepson is an award winning industrial designer, with many accomplishments including designing a cutting edge see through canoe made from lexan, helping develop new concepts for BPG Motors, as well as creating his own unique products. Andrew has a wide range of skills that will all be put to the test when developing the DTV Shredder. From creating concept sketches and 3-D CAD models to fabrication and testing of the Shredder, Andrew’s design and manufacturing knowledge make great concepts turn into reality.
